Microblading Brow Feathering

What exactly is Microblading?

Microblading Brow Feathering offers a soft natural look. This is a semi-Permanent Makeup procedure also known as cosmetic tattoo or PMU for short. In a nut-shell Microblading is a process when delicate fine hair strokes are lightly etched into the skin with the use of a disposable microblade implement (hand tool) the fine etchings mimic the look of eye brow hair to create a beautiful brow shape. The micro-blades at the tip of the hand tool are imbedded with a safe and effective perfectly colour matched vegan pigment. The hair stroke pattern is artistically woven throughout the brow line depositing pigment within the natural brow growth pattern. Just like painting a picture different gauges of microblades produce different size hair strokes similar to different paint brushes producing different visual effects. In order to achieve your personal desired brow design your artist may use multiple hand tools.

Why choose Microblading?

Microblading Brow Feathering is a semi-permanent tattoo that deposits the colour closer to the surface of the skin than with the use of a tattoo machine. Microblading produces visually very crisp, fine hair strokes. This method prevents ink migration under the skin so the lines heal thinner and sharper with less blurring over time. The enhancement looks completely natural and is an excellent long term solution for hiding common eyebrow imperfections such as gaps between the hairs, scars, thinness in shape, etc.

The art of Microblading Brow Feathering, when performed by an experienced professional with a keen eye for facial aesthetics, will produce the ideal pair of natural-looking brows for your face.

Whether someone is wanting to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps or fill in over-tweezed brows, Brow Werx Microblading Brow Feathering is the ideal semi-permanent, natural-looking solution.

Who’s this service for?

Folks of any age, or gender will benefit from this treatment. A thicker, fuller and a well defined brow shape enhances and adds aesthetic balance to facial features drawing attention to the eyes. After all the eyes are the windows to soul, that would make the brows the window treatments. (Insert very large smile here).

Very few folks are naturally blessed with ideal brows, and many of us have over-tweezed, or may have experienced Alopecia resulting in permanent 'holes' in their brows. Yes, Eyebrow makeup has the ability to create the illusion of fullness, but the daily effort of drawing on the perfect pair can be both time-consuming and difficult to accomplish; a very tough skill to master.

Microblading Aftercare

Day of Procedure: After the procedure, gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess blood and lymph fluid for four hours post treatment. Every time you admire your brows BLOT. Do this frequently until the oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids, this step greatly reduces any crusting.

Days 1-7: Wash daily to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils, and dead skin. (Don’t worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)  Gently wash the area each morning and night with water and gentle cleanser gentle cleansing cream from Skin Regimen (step 1, sold at Brow Werx) with a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the area following the direction of your brow hair for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all cream cleanser is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.

(Step 2) Moisturize and hydrate (Days 1-7) Apply a tiny, rice grain amount of Aftercare 3 times a day with a clean cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The product should be barely noticeable on the skin. NEVER apply the product on a wet or damp tattoo. Important Reminders Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of colour. No intensive facials, Botox (injected directly into treated area - otherwise wait two weeks after), chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.  Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for 10 days as this can cause your new brows to turn grey. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors. Avoid long, hot showers for the first 10 days.  Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.  Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for the first 10 days,  Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen on the area. DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.

Important Instructions for Showering: Limit your showers to 5 minutes as to not create excess steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face should only be getting wet only at the end of the shower. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
