Pico Laser Facial Aftercare (self-Care) Program

Proper aftercare also known as Self-Care is essential for optimal healing, enhanced results, and minimizing downtime after your Pico Laser Facial. Follow this structured plan for the best recovery experience.

First 24-48 Hours: Immediate Healing Phase

  1. Cleanse Gently: Remedy Cream to Oil Cleanser or use a mild, non-active cleanser with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water, harsh scrubs, or exfoliating cleansers.

  2. Soothe & Repair: Apply HA serum, antioxidant, pigmentation inhibitors, peptides and exsosomes if recommended to support healthy collagen regeneration and enhance healing.

  3. Moisturize & Protect: Follow with The Melt as your healing balm to lock in hydration and promote barrier repair.

  4. Avoid Sun Exposure: Direct sunlight can increase sensitivity and pigmentation risk. Stay indoors or wear protective clothing. Di Morelli SPF 35 or tinted SPF 50.

  5. No Sweating or Heat Exposure: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and workouts for at least 48 hours.

Days 2-7: Recovery & Skin Renewal:

  1. Continue Gentle Skincare: Keep cleansing your skin with a mild, non-active cleanser.

  2. Hydration & Healing: Reapply Instant Radiance Serum (EGF) twice daily to accelerate cellular repair. Follow with The Melt as a moisturizing balm for deep nourishment.

  3. Sun Protection is Key: Use Powder-Me SPF 30 for light, non-greasy protection throughout the day and Flex Shield SPF 50 by Colorescience, Di Morelli SPF 35 or tinted SPF 50 for high-level, hydrating sun defense.

  4. Avoid Active Skincare Ingredients: No retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or strong exfoliants for at least one week to prevent irritation.

  5. Minimize Makeup Use: If needed, opt for mineral-based makeup only.

Days 7-14: Skin Optimization & Strengthening

  1. Reintroduce Gentle Actives (if advised by provider): After one week, slowly resume your regular skincare, avoiding aggressive treatments until fully healed.

  2. Introduce the 3P weekly at home facial protocol of: â€‹
    Step One: Polish (gentle micro-exfoliant)
Step Two: Peel and enzymatic or gentle chemical peel
Step Three: Plump! Yes, hydrate and nourish with deep support of the Plump Sheet mask, and/or a cream mask.

  3. Maintain Hydration & Barrier Support: Continue using The Melt as needed for added moisture and barrier repair.

  4. Sun Protection Remains Essential: Apply Powder-Me SPF 30 and Flex Shield SPF 50 or Di Morelli SPF 35 or tinted SPF 50 daily to protect new skin cells.

  5. Boost Results with Antioxidants & Peptides: Incorporate nourishing serums and hydration support for prolonged glow and skin strength.

What to Avoid Post-Treatment

  1. Sun Exposure & Tanning Beds – Can cause hyperpigmentation and slow healing.

  2. Harsh Scrubs & Exfoliation – Let your skin naturally renew; avoid aggressive treatments.

  3. Picking or Touching the Skin – This can lead to irritation, breakouts, or scarring.

  4. Hot Showers, Steam, & Excessive Sweating – Can intensify irritation and prolong redness.

With consistent care and sun protection, your skin will heal beautifully—revealing a brighter, more even, and rejuvenated complexion. If you have any concerns, reach out to your provider.
