Post-Microneedling Care Guide
To ensure the best results and minimize potential risks, please follow this post-treatment protocol carefully:
First 24-28 hours:
-
Cleanse Gently: Use a mild, non-active cleanser and lukewarm water—no hot water, scrubs, or exfoliating cleansers. Gentle = loving.
-
Sooth & Repair: Pat in DP Dermaceuticals exoGlow Serum to boost healing, calm redness, and encourage regeneration. Exosomes = your skin’s tiny repair crew.
-
Moisturize & Protect: Seal the deal with The Werx “MELT”—our barrier-loving balm that locks in moisture and soothes sensitized skin.
-
Hydration Sprays Welcome: A gentle HA mist can be soothing and satisfying—yes, you can spritz away..
-
Shield from the Sun: Avoid direct sunlight. No tanning, no beach, no poolside selfies. Think "cool vampire" chic.
-
Avoid Sweating or Heat: Skip saunas, workouts, and hot yoga. Perspiration can sting and stress the skin. Rest mode ON.
Days 2-7:
-
Keep it Clean (and Gentle): Still use a soft, non-active cleanser. No acids or exfoliants yet!
-
Hydrate Like a Boss: Layer lightweight hydration (HA serums, mists) and lock it in with MELT.
-
Sun Protection = Non-Negotiable: Colorescience Flex Shield SPF 50 = serious protection + hydration. Powder-Me SPF 30 = midday touch-up superhero
-
No Active Ingredients: Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, strong exfoliants—unless your post-care plan says otherwise.
-
Skip the Makeup (if you can): If you must, go mineral only.
Day 5 - Reintroduce the 3P's:
-
Time to Polish + Peel + Plump: Gently revive the glow with The Werx signature 3P protocol. Polish: Use an enzymatic or micro-polish to softly refine. Peel: Apply a low-strength, non-stinging brightening serum or lotion. Plump: Finish with a hydrating, peptide-rich mask. Only reintroduce if there’s no flaking or active irritation.
Days 7-14:
-
Ease in Your Actives (if cleared by your provider): Slowly reintroduce retinoids, acids, or brightening treatments.
-
Barrier Support Continues: Dry patches? Use The Melt as needed.
-
SPF is Still the MVP: New skin = more vulnerable. Keep up the Powder-Me and Flex Shield.
-
Glow Goals: Use antioxidant serums (like Vitamin C) and hydrating masks to boost results and extend that post-needling glow.

What to Avoid After Microneedling
-
Sun exposure (especially the first 5 days)
-
Harsh exfoliants or retinoids too early
-
Picking or scratching your skin
-
Dirty pillowcases, unwashed hands, or touching your face
-
Makeup brushes that haven’t been cleaned
-
Sweating or overheating (at least 48 hours)
By following these steps, you’ll be fully prepared for your microneedling session and set yourself up for optimal results.
