Pre-Treatment Protocol for Microneedling
To ensure the best results and minimize potential risks, please follow this pre-treatment protocol carefully:
7–10 Days Before Treatment:

Avoid Sun Exposure: Minimize direct sun exposure and avoid tanning beds. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.

Discontinue Certain Medications & Supplements: Stop using blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) and supplements like fish oil, vitamin E, or ginkgo biloba, as these may increase bruising.
If you’re on prescription medications, consult your doctor before stopping. Must have a doctors note if your stopping medications. -
Avoid Retinoids & Exfoliants: Discontinue the use of retinol, tretinoin, AHAs/BHAs, and other strong exfoliants.

Stop Hair Removal: Avoid waxing, threading, or depilatory creams on the treatment area.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin well-hydrated.
2–3 Days Before Treatment:

Discontinue Alcohol & Caffeine: Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine a cup or two in the morning, however, on the day of treatment one cup is plenty this is to reduce the risk of swelling or bruising.

Pause Active Skincare: Stop using products with active ingredients like glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or vitamin C.
The day of treatment:

Cleanse Gently: Use a mild cleanser to clean your skin without harsh scrubbing. Avoid heavy makeup. If possible Arrive with Clean Skin

Avoid strenuous exercise that could increase circulation.Avoid intense Physical Activity:

Inform Your Practitioner: Let your practitioner know if you have any skin conditions, recent treatments, or medications.
Important Notes:

If you have any history of cold sores, notify your practitioner in advance so an antiviral medication can be prescribed to prevent an outbreak.

If you are pregnant, nursing, microneedling is not recommended or if you have a specific medical condition, please consult your doctor to ensure microneedling is safe for you.
